Credit Cards: Good or Bad?
The debate of whether or not credit cards are good or bad has been going on forever. The fact of the matter is that there is no right or wrong answer to this question. There are some people who will tell you that they live off of their credit cards, and others who will never put one of these in their wallet. Generally speaking, the way that you feel about credit cards has a lot to do with your personal finances as well as any issues that you have had in the past.
Take for instance somebody who has plenty of money and has proven to be financially responsible. This person is not going to have any issues having a credit card or two because they are not the type that will get into trouble. But on the other hand, some people have made their life around buying anything and everything on a credit card. Obviously, this is not the best way to control your finances.
Whether or not a credit card is right for you comes down to one word: responsibility. Are you responsible enough to have a credit card but only use it when you know that you can pay the money back? If the answer is yes, and you are being truthful, there is nothing wrong with having a credit card. But if you know that you are going to spend uncontrollably and get yourself into trouble, you would be better off staying away from any sort of credit line.
Credit cards are good for some and bad for others. You need to know where you fit in. Although it may not seem like it, a credit card is a big responsibility that you must take seriously. If you do not, your financial life could become wrecked sooner rather than later.
