If you live in the United States, income tax returns seem to be a way of life. To stay in good standing with the IRS it is important that you file the appropriate income tax forms on time. 1. For individual income tax returns in the United States, Form 1040 and 1040A are used.
2. Form 1040EZ is for joint or single tax filers with no dependants.
3. Form 1041 is a form that is used for estates and trusts.
4. Form 1099 is also known as an information return. For instance, a 1099 is used to note payment made to independent contractors.
